Cheekatilo trailer: Sobhita Dhulipala's OTT film dives into a web of murders, promises intense thrills

Cheekatilo is Sobhita Dhulipala's new movie that has skipped its theatrical release and is set to come out on Amazon Prime Video as a direct OTT release. Post the release of the first look, the makers have revealed the trailer of the film, and it looks intense and suspense-filled. 

What is Cheekatilo all about?

Sobhita plays a reporter who works for a TV channel. She tries to bring out crime in the city, but the channel does not heed her ways. So, she resigns from her job and starts a podcast channel where she talks about crimes in the city. Very soon, she gets engrossed in a series of murders.

A top cop, played by Krishna Chaitanya, enters the scene and starts his investigation. The deeper the case goes, the more issues Sobhita faces in her life. How she handles these deadly crimes and who the man behind them is form the basic story of the film. Sharan Kopishetty has produced this film, which has amazing production values.

Sobhita is known for her solid performances and looks intense in the promo. Noted filmmaker Suresh Babu is backing this film, which has music by Sricharan Pakala, and his background score is amazing. 

The presence of actors like Suresh and others brings a lot of depth to the show. There is a lot of depth in the way the crimes are showcased, and the use of social media for encouraging crimes is addressed superbly.

What makes Cheekatilo different?

The camerawork, backdrop, and the way the director sets up the mood of the thriller are impressive. Generally, such murder mysteries look the same, but Cheekatilo is different as the casting is fresh. Sobhitha makes all the difference, and her mouthing of Telugu dialogues sounds quite natural.
