Days after Amitabh Bachchan-Emraan Hashmi's Chehre released in theatres, Bengal's version of the movie was announced. The movie stars Saswata Chatterjee and Riddhi Sen in the lead roles. It is slated to release on December 3.
Riddhi shared the poster from the movie, which also resembled Chehre. Dhritiman Chatterjee's Ratan Shah especially appeared to be the inspiration for Joydeep Mukherjee.

Saswata is set to replace Amitabh Bachchan's role. Meanwhile, Riddhi is expected to be seen in Siddhanth Kapoor's role while Priyanka Sarkar will step into Rhea Chakraborty's shoes.
Another interesting twist in this film is that Raghubir Yadav is replaced by Churni Ganguly. Physically challenged, she will play the role of the executioner.
Anusadhan, which also means Search, is a theatrical release. The movie is helmed by Kamaleshwar Mukherjee.
The film, like Chehre, is inspired from the German novel called A Dangerous Game. It is the story of retired lawyers, a judge and an executioner coming together for a motive that nobody understands till the very end.
