Chengiz box office collection Day 2: Jeet’s period drama brings the audience on Eid

On the release day, Jeet’s period drama Chengiz did not pull the expected crowd to the theatres. However, on Day 2, Jeet’s fans flocked to the theatre to watch the film in full swing. Consequently, the film has reportedly crossed the one crore mark on the second day.  

Jeet was well aware that it would not be easy to take on Salman Khan during the period of Eid celebration. Yet, he prepared himself with a pan-India release of Chengiz. That created a buzz across his fan base. Jeet and Susmita Chatterjee attended a number of promotional activities. Despite all this, the first-day collection was not up to the mark. It was reportedly around Rs 35-40 lakh. There was a 171% jump on day 2. 

Jeet’s production house has not released any official figures. However, according to sources, the second-day earning was approximately Rs 95 lakh, of which Rs 35 lakh came from outside Bengal. 

According to the experts, there is a fair chance that Chengiz will keep on bringing the audience to theatres on Sunday. However, it will be a real test from Monday onwards. If the trend continues, Chengiz will prove to be a successful one.   

It is not just Chengiz, but Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan also enjoyed a better day on Saturday. There was a rise in the box office collection. On Day 2, the film earned Rs 25.75 cr from the box office. Now the total collection is at Rs 41.56 cr
