Chess grandmaster Praggnanandhaa today met Superstar Rajinikanth at his residence. The 16-year-old shared pictures of the meeting and said that he was quite inspired by Rajinikanth and his humility, despite having achieved so much in life. He also shared pictures of his family with the Superstar. 

Sharing the same on social media, he captioned it, "A day to remember!!! Met @rajinikanth uncle today with my family! Inspired by his humbleness despite reaching great heights! #Respect #Magizchi (sic)." The chess champion will be part of the Indian contingent at the upcoming Chess Olympiad, which will be held in Chennai next week. The teenager has been sharing pictures on his social media page of his training sessions regularly. He recently posted a picture from the repainted Napier Bridge, which resembles a chess board. 

On the film front, Rajinikanth is gearing up Jailer, which is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is touted to be an action thriller, and the star cast might have the likes of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shivrajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Priyanka Mohan, though there is no official confirmation on the same. The team had recently released a cryptic poster that comprised a meat cleaver and blood smeared on it, hung upside down in the backdrop of a factory setting. Going by the poster, it looks like there will be lot of action sequences in the film.

The pre-production work for Jailer is going on in full swing and we hear that the makers an erecting an elaborate set for the same in Hyderabad, but an official confirmation is awaited. Jailer will be Rajinikanth's 169th film and it will be bankrolled by Sun Pictures. Rajinikanth's last release was the family drama, Annaatthe, which was directed by Siva. The film had Keerthy Suresh playing his sister, with Imman scoring the music.
