Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina have making headlines for all the wrong reasons. After a clip from India’s Got Latent went viral on the internet recently, the duo started getting massive backlash from netizens as well as celebs and politicians. Now, it seems like Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman has taken a dig at them too. On February 12, AR Rahman, Vicky Kaushal, and the team of Chhaava were seen attending the music launch event of the film in the city. The composer joked about keeping one's mouth shut, which many believed was a sly dig at Ranveer and Samay's ongoing controversy. Here's what happened!

What did AR Rahman say at the Chhaava music launch?

On Wednesday evening, Chhaava's music launch event was held at Mumbai's NMACC Auditorium. AR Rahman left everyone mesmerized as he performed and took over the stage. Eventually, Vicky joined him on stage and the duo got into a playful banter. Vicky said, "You'll have to be lazy now, but only with 3 emoji if you'll have to describe your music." In response, Rahman jokingly did the 'mouth closed' emoji gesture and added, "In the past week, we have seen what happens when the mouth opens." His comment left Vicky and the audience in splits.

All about Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina's controversy

Recently, Ranveer graced Samay's show India's Got Latent along with Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid. During the episode, Ranveer was seen asking, "Would you rather watch your parents have s*x for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?" His clip from the episode went viral instantly and received massive backlash online. Ranveer and Samay even got into legal trouble, and Mumbai Police is currently investigating the case. On February 12, Apoorva was seen visiting the police station in connection to the ongoing case.

Amid the ongoing investigation, Samay on Feb 12, broke his silence on social media and shared that he has deleted all videos from his show. He even said that he would fully cooperate with the agencies for a fair investigation. His note read, "Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all Indias Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you."

Ranveer too shared a video on social media and apologized to everyone for making such derogatory comments on the show.
