Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava has passed the first Monday litmus test. The movie is nearing Rs. 150 crore at the box office and while other films see a significant drop on its first Monday, this one was pretty stable, at least in comparison to the other movies released in the recent past. Despite a nearly 50% drop from Sunday, the movie is closer to Rs. 150 crore at the domestic box office and Rs. 200 crore worldwide. Here’s the first Monday box office collection of Chhaava…

Chhaava earned Rs. 24 crore at the box office on its first Monday, according to Sacnilk. Even though this is a 50% drop from its Sunday box office collection of Rs. 48.5 crore, it is a considerably good number, especially given the current box office trend.

Chhaava closer to Rs 150 crore mark

Chhaava is now closer than ever to the Rs. 150 crore mark, and this happens in four days alone. The movie has earned Rs. 140.5 crore already and given the current trend, it could mint Rs. 150 crore by the first Tuesday and cross the Rs. 200-250 crore mark by the second weekend. If that happens, the movie will be unstoppable as the highest-grossing film of 2025, at least so far.

Will Chhaava beat Sanam Teri Kasam re-release at the Box Office?

If going by the current trend, yes. Sanam Teri Kasam enjoys a cult fan-following and the movie has been breaking all records but it was still not the highest Rs. 100 crore club film. In that sense, Chhaava leads and looks at a brighter future. So, Chhaava is likely to beat the re-release records of Sanam Teri Kasam as well, and that is a good thing because it could be breaking the dry spell in terms of Bollywood films entering Rs. 100 crore club norm at the box office.
