Alia Bhatt took everybody by surprise when she was introduced to YRF Spy Universe in the first female-led film from the world. We now hear that her Raazi and Love & War co-star Vicky Kaushal (URI) is also in talks to join the franchise and star alongside the superstars. YRF Spy Universe already boasts of Shah Rukh Khan (Deewana), Salman Khan (Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan) and Hrithik Roshan (Krrish 3) power at this point.
Although Vicky Kaushal is not yet confirmed for the role, the actor is likely to join YRF Spy Universe. Mid-Day reports that he is quite eager to do so. A source told the portal, "Conversations have been happening for a while, and Vicky is keen to be part of this ambitious franchise. It's still in the early stages, but the idea is to introduce a fresh narrative thread within the existing world."
Moreover, we hear that Vicky will be seen in a standalone film like Shah Rukh Khan in Pathaan, Salman Khan in Tiger franchise and Hrithik Roshan in War franchise. "The makers believe he has the charisma and acting chops to lead a standalone story," the birdie added. The decision obviously comes after Chhaava's success at the Box Office (the movie beat SRK's Jawan and is the third highest ever grossing Bollywood film).
We further hear whispers that if everything works out for Vicky and YRF Spy Universe, their collaboration film could go on floors by 2026, with a director chosen within a few months' time. Meanwhile, the next out of the YRF Spy Universe will be War 2. The movie, featuring Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, is scheduled for a theatrical release in August. This would be followed by Alia Bhatt's Alpha, also starring Sharvari in the lead role.
