Chhal Kapat - The Deception OTT release date: When and where to watch Shriya Pilgaonkar's thriller series

Get ready for an engaging investigative thriller series, as Chhal Kapat - The Deception is coming on OTT. The series is set against the backdrop of an intimate wedding in Burhanpur, where the festivities take a sinister turn after the mysterious death of one of the bride's close friends. On May 31, the makers finally revealed the release date of the series.

ZEE5 took to their official Instagram account and shared a poster of Chhal Kapat - The Deception featuring Shriya Pilgaonkar as a police officer. Sharing the poster, the streaming platform revealed that the series will be released on June 6. It will also be available for streaming on OTTplay Premium once it's released. 

The streaming platform captioned the post, "Murky motives. Dark truths. One fierce cop. #ChhalKapatTheDeception premieres 6th June, only on #ZEE5."

Chhal Kapat: The Deception is a crime thriller series set against the backdrop of a wedding in Burhanpur, where a murder occurs, turning the celebration into a mystery. 

In the series, Shriya Pilgaonkar plays Inspector Devika, a police officer investigating the case. She sets out to uncover secrets and betrayals among the guests. As the investigation progresses, the line between belief and suspicion blurs, and everyone becomes a potential suspect. The series also features Ragini Dwivedi, Tuhina Das, Yahve Sharma, Pranay Pachauri, and Smaran Sahu.

Ragini Dwivedi on Chhal Kapat

In a chat with OTTplay, Ragini Dwivedi opened up about her series, Chhal Kapat. She said that it is a story of four friends and follows events that occur at a destination wedding, including a murder. "The narrative is all about how it happened and eventually leads to the who, with a lot of twists and turns along the way. There are 9 suspects eventually, but the main story revolves around these four friends and I play one of them," she said.
