Chhorii 2 trailer OUT: Nushrratt Bharuccha confronts malevolent supernatural forces; Soha Ali Khan's mysterious role adds tension

Chhorii 2, the second season of the horror thriller Chhorii, is all set to be released on Amazon Prime Video on April 11. The makers finally released the trailer today, April 3, and it focuses on darker and more intense fights against supernatural forces. The suspenseful storytelling, starring Nushrratt Bharuccha and Soha Ali Khan, looks compelling in the trailer, and fans can expect a deeper analysis of this horror thriller in the new season.

Chhorii 2 trailer shows Nushrratt Bharuccha and Soha Ali Khan in a more darker plot. The new season will focus on the expanded version of the twisted world of suspenseful storytelling. The new chapter delves deeper into the horrors of folktales, supernatural terror, and the indomitable will of a mother battling forces beyond comprehension. The trailer shows Nushrratt facing malevolent supernatural powers to save her daughter, while Soha's mysterious Daasi Ma character adds more tension to it.

Nushrratt Bharuccha on Chhorii 2

Speaking about her Sakshi character, Nushrratt Bharuccha shared, “Returning as Sakshi in Chhorii 2 has been one of the most intense yet rewarding experiences of my career. After 7 years of tirelessly protecting her child, Sakshi’s deepest fear comes true, which adds a whole new level of emotion and intensity to the narrative."

She also added that the horror in this installment feels darker, more powerful, and very real because it taps into a mother’s worst nightmare. "Vishal has masterfully woven spine-chilling moments with raw emotions making the story a gripping blend of survival, love, and the lengths a mother will go to protect her child," she added.

Soha Ali Khan on Chhorii 2

On joining the cast of Chhorii 2, Soha said that her character is layered and there’s menace but also mystery. Her Daasi Ma character is not someone one can easily predict, which makes her a fascinating character to portray on screen. "Vishal has crafted a world where fear creeps in from all sides, and being a part of it allowed me to explore a completely new side of myself as an actor," she added.

Chhorii 2 begins seven years after the first film, with Sakshi (Nushrratt Bharuccha) and her daughter Ishani trying to escape their haunting past. However, they find themselves drawn back into a sinister world ruled by superstition and supernatural forces. Sakshi must rescue her daughter from the supernatural forces. 

Chhorii 2 is produced by T-Series, Abundantia Entertainment, Psych, and Tamarisk Lane Production. The horror film is helmed by Vishal Furia. Apart from Nushrratt and Soha, the ensemble cast also features Gashmeer Mahajani, Saurabh Goyal, Pallavi Ajay, Kuldeep Sareen, and Hardika Sharma.
