It seems onscreen chemistry is not the only thing that makes working on set a delightful experience for actors. Chhorii star Nushrratt Bharuccha recently revealed how she and director Vishal Furia were so ‘in sync' that they practically ‘finished each other’s sentences’.

In conversation with Prokerala, Bharuccha talked about how the two had not got off to a great start. The fact that the actress was shooting other projects in the midst of filming Chhorii had worried Furia. The filmmaker had thought that Bharuccha would not get enough time to get into the character, as the shoot was on a tight schedule. The director’s mind was plagued with doubts, since it was Bharuccha’s first time taking up a project like it.

But ultimately, she was able to convince him to take a chance on her and within a span of hours, the two were able to sort out their differences. She said that there were times when it felt that they were reading each other’s minds, each picking up on the others’ wordless cues. Their chemistry stunned the rest of the cast and crew, she added.

Chhorii is a horror film and tells the tale of a pregnant woman who must battle against dark forces to protect the life of her unborn child. The film is a remake of Furia’s 2017 Marathi directorial, Lapachhapi.

Chhorii will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from November 26 onwards.
