Chhotolok trailer: Priyanka Sarkar, Ushasi Ray, Gaurav Chakraborty shine in Indranil Roychowdhury’s show

Director Indranil Roychowdhury is all set to debut on OTT with a web series, Chhotolok. Billed as a dark crime thriller, the series features Daminee Basu, Priyanka Sarkar, Ushasi Ray, Gaurav Chakraborty, Indrani Halder, Loknath Dey, Ushashie Chakraborty, and many others. The trailer was dropped recently and it gives a glimpse of a complex crime drama with multiple characters. 

Chhotolok has many characters and shades. The trailer reveals that Rupsha Ghosh, played by Ushasi, gets killed. SI Sabitri Mondol (Daminee) starts her investigation. She talks with Raja Bharracharya (Gourav), his wife Mallika (Priyanka), his mother Mohor (Indrani), and others. Raja and Ushasi seem to have an affair. Mohor, a politician, threatens Sabitri to transfer her to a remote district. Mallika gears up for a divorce. All these characters are presented with interesting background music. The 2-odd-minute-long video is dotted with greed, lust, love, passion, power, and money. All in all, the trailer hints at a riveting murder mystery that is surrounded by many characters.

Indranil, who made critically acclaimed films like Phoring, Mayar Jonjal, and so on, has directed films on web platforms. This is his first web series.

This will be Indrani’s debut OTT project. She plays the character of Mohor Bhattacharya – a politician. With cropped hair and a sari, she looks very different from her usual avatar.
