As the trailer of the upcoming Hindi horror web series, Adhura releases on Wednesday, the child actor of the show Shrenik Arora interacted with the media at the trailer launch event of the show. Shrenik plays the character of Vedant Malik, a 10-year-old student from a boarding school located in a beautiful hill station, in Adhura. The young actor couldn't contain his excitement about his upcoming web series.

During the trailer launch, when Shrenik was asked if the release of the series is tougher than his history exam, the child actor said, "Well, honestly I am very excited about it and I had a really great time with Ishwak sir and Rasika ma'am. With my other co-actors, it just felt like school. I am nervous also I do not know why, I just hope everyone enjoys it. And yes it does make me nervous like my history exam."

The show also stars Rasika Dugal, Ishwak Singh, and Poojan Chhabra, alongside Rahul Dev, Zoa Morani, Sahil Salathia, Aru Krishansh Verma, Rijul Ray, Jaimini Pathak, Priya Banerjee, KC Shankar among others. It is written by Ananya Banerjee and directed by Ananya Banerjee and Gauravv K. Chawla.

Asked about how their show is different from the other horror shows, director Ananya said, "I think with Adhura we endeavored to take a really classic horror trope, of reunion in the hallowed hall of the boarding schools in the hills but we married the whole idea with the terrors of the real world - whether it is the fear of fitting in, the fear of being left behind, the fear of your own in a human skin... So taking the supernatural and the psychological elements and putting a little heart and sincerity in what we are trying to do; that will make Adhura different from everything else."

The seven-episode web series is produced by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and Nikkhil Advani under the banner Emmay Entertainment. It will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from July 7.
