Chiraiya is Hindi social drama that talks about an important issue, marital rape and the importance of consent of woman when she is married. The film is headlined by actor Divya Dutta and is now streaming on JioHotstar. While the series is originally taken in Hindi, the streaming platform has given options for audience to watch it in multiple Indian languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The 2026 series, which opened to good reviews, is a hard-hitting one that revolves around a young married woman who faces troubles and trauma in her home. It talks about how a married woman’s consent is important and needed. Actors Prasanna Bisht and Siddharth Shaw are also part of the cast, which is directed by Shashant Shah. It consists of six episodes in total.
