Megastar Chiranjeevi has revealed in most of his recent interviews that if he gets a proper subject and a strong character, he will surely make his OTT debut. Already, his colleagues, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, and Balakrishna, have made their digital debuts with their respective OTT shows.
As per the latest update, Chiranjeevi has now decided it is time for his digital debut. We at OTTplay have exclusively come to know that the megastar has approached a few popular writers in Tollywood to pen a powerful and hard-hitting crime drama for his OTT debut.

The news is that Chiranjeevi wants to play a person his age in these shows and he has asked the writers to come up with a story that will suit his image as well. Chiranjeevi is known for his dances and fights in films and many had doubts about whether a star like him would even fit the standards of OTT, where the content is king.
One of the sources close to his team says, "Ever since sir underwent knee surgery, he has been watching a lot of OTT content and wants to do something in the digital space. He does not mind letting go of his image and plays a character that has a strong motive and a backstory to follow."
During the initial days, when OTT shows were coming out, Chiranjeevi also said he was a man for the big screen but now that the world of OTT has changed, Chiranjeevi also wants to dive into the digital space and do something serious and performance-oriented, according to the source.
So, it will be very interesting to see what kind of subject Chiranjeevi picks for his OTT debut. As of now, he is preparing for the shoot of his new film, Vishwambhara, which is being directed by Vassishta. A small teaser of the film was also revealed during the Sankranthi special, which caught the imagination of many.
After a long gap, Chiranjeevi returns to the socio-fantasy genre with this film, which has Mrunal Thakur as the female lead. The makers have also wrapped up the first schedule of the film. For now, the megastar is all set to make his grand OTT debut. When it will happen, only time will tell.
