Right during Chiranjeevi's early years in the industry, legendary actor Allu Ramalingaiah was witness to the humility and the talent of the star, who was yet to scale dizzying peaks. In times when marriages with the film fraternity weren't in vogue, he initially had apprehension about marrying his daughter Surekha to an actor. Yet, it took a few conversations with his near and dear to be convinced of his decision; that's when Chiranjeevi became an integral member of the Allu family.

The star has always had immense respect for his father-in-law all through his career and expressed the same across many interviews. A year ago, commemorating Allu Ramalingaiah's 99th birth anniversary, it was announced the Allu family is coming up with a studio - Allu Studios, in an attempt to give back something worthwhile to the industry that has shaped their careers. The event was graced by Allu Aravind, Allu Arjun, Bobby Allu and Allu Sirish, who laid the foundation stone for its commencement.

A year later, the Allu family has formally announced that Chiranjeevi will be inaugurating the Allu Studios as part of Allu Ramalingaiah's birth centenary on October 1. The entire family will be gracing the event in addition to Chiranjeevi. Spread across 10 actres in Gandipet, the industry is awaiting the launch of Allu Studios with bated breath and hopes that it'll be a studio that's accessible, comfortable for shoots updated with modern-day technology.

A few days after the launch of the studio, Chiranjeevi's political drama Godfather will also be hitting theatres on October 5. The film, adapted and directed by Mohan Raja, also stars Salman Khan, Nayanthara and Satyadev. The masala potboiler is the official remake of Mohanlal's Malayalam hit Lucifer, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights.
