Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi congratulated his nephew Allu Arjun for completing 20 years in the film industry. He wrote a heartfelt note, expressing his happiness to see him become a star of national fame. "Dear Bunny @alluarjun so heartening u hv completd 20 fab yrs in films.Memories of yr childhud r still fresh & yet hw time flies! Delighted 2 see hw U carvd a niche & grown as a Pan India Star,as an Icon Star! Wishing U scale greater heights in yrs 2 cme & win mny more hearts!," Chiranjeevi tweeted. 

Allu Arjun made his screen debut as a lead with Gangotri. Written and directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, the movie was released in cinemas on March 28, 2003. The film became a massive hit at the box office. However, it was his second film Arya that established him as a bankable star in Telugu cinema. Written and directed by Sukumar, the film went onto become a smash hit at the box office. And his career has been steadily marching upward since. 

"Today, I complete 20 years in the film industry. I am extremely blessed & have been showered with love . I am grateful to all my people from the industry . I am what I am bcoz of the love of the audience, admirers & fans . Gratitude forever," tweeted Allu Arjun. 

While Sukumar's Arya put Arjun on the map in Telugu cinema, the director's Pushpa: The Rise made Arjun a national sensation. Pushpa was released in cinemas in 2021, the film created quite a splash across the country. It also found a lot of takers in North India as its Hindi version alone raked in more than Rs 100 crore. 

Sukumar and Arjun are now busy making the sequel to Pushpa, which is titled Pushpa: The Rule
