Anil Ravipudi is one of the top directors in Telugu cinema and has not given a single flop in his career. Things have gone to the next level as he is directing none other than megastar Chiranjeevi for a comedy caper. The special aspect of this film is that the star heroine Nayanthara has been roped in to play Chiranjeevi’s romantic interest.

So far, three schedules of the film have been wrapped up, and OTTplay spoke to director Anil Ravipudi about the film’s development.

Speaking about the megastar, Anil Ravipudi says Chiranjeevi’s look is going to surprise everyone. “Ever since Chiranjeevi Garu made his comeback, he was mostly seen in mass roles, but for this film, I have showcased him in a very classy avatar and created his role in such a way that it will resonate a lot with the younger generation. To play the part, Chiranjeevi had to first look the part and the star hero worked hard to slim down and attain a youthful look for the film. His fans are going to have a feast because the way he has been styled, the way he dances, and those comic dialogues will be a fun ride for the audience,” he said.

Nayanthara also plays a fun role in the film, and as per the news, she is playing a school teacher in this yet-untitled project. Anil adds that the fun interactions between Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara will be hilarious. The tongue-in-cheek humour is going to be sensational, and Chiranjeevi’s reactions to Nayanthara’s counters will be epic. Bheem Ceciroleo has composed the music, and he has already locked three numbers, one of which was shot in Kerala.

Sankranthiki Vastunnam is the tentative title of this film, which also has Venkatesh in a key role. When asked about Venkatesh’s character, Anil says it is a big surprise and one has to watch the film to know what it is. Sources close to the team reveal that Venkatesh will be taking on Chiranjeevi and their fun banter will be hilarious.
