The team of Chiyaan Vikram's Cobra released a sneak peek from the film today. In the scene, we get a glimpse of the cat-and-mouse game between Aslan Yilmaz (Irfan Pathan), an Interpol officer looking for Cobra (Vikram), the master assassin. We also get to see Cobra planning his next assassination. Vikram has 8 get-ups in the film and the making video about his looks was released only yesterday.

The film directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu has been trimmed by 20 minutes after there were reports that the film was a tad too long. It is said that the makers of the film went into damage control mode and hence, went ahead with the move. Earlier, the film's running time was 3 hours, 3 minutes and 3 seconds. The production house of Cobra announced yesterday that the updated version of the film is now availabe in all shows of Cobra in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Kerala and Karnataka. They also stated that the move was based on the suggestions by film-goers, fans, media friends, distributors and exhibitors.

Cobra, which hit screens worldwide on August 31, on the occasion of Vinayagar Chaturthi, has opened to mixed reviews. Though Vikram won praise for his efforts in the film, the script was called convoluted. The film has an ensemble cast including Srinidhi Shetty, Mirnalini Ravi, Meenakshi Govindharajan, Roshan Mathew, Sarjano Khalid, KS Ravikumar, Miya George, Robo Shankar, John Vijay, Mohammad Ali Baig, Shaji Chen, Mamukkoya and Poovaiyar to name a few.
