Loki became a hit series following its release on Disney+, with the fans of the MCU finding the adventure of the God of Mischief more than appealing. While Tom Hiddleston as Loki was the main highlight of the show, Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor in the MCU also made an appearance in the show.
While fans might have missed the star in the show, the director of Loki, Kate Herron revealed that Hemsworth appeared in chapter 5 of Loki, which was the episode that took the story to Kid Loki’s world.
Herron during his participation in the podcast For All Nerds said, “It was really fun (set so many easter eggs in chapter 5), and obviously Throg… joking with him. I filmed Chris Hemsworth for it by the way. It was just his voice screaming"
Throg was a frog Thor variant, who was locked in a jar and buried in the void lost in time in the episode titled Journey into Mystery. While viewers would have noticed the character in the episode, it would be extremely difficult to notice Hemsworth voiced it.
Loki saw the titular God of Mischief escape from the hands of The Avengers, only to be bagged by the Time Variance Authority (TVA), a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline.
Loki ends up working with the TVA and ends up on a journey through time, trying to take down the organisation with another variant of himself.
While Hemsworth’s Thor had only a scream to offer in Loki, the God of Thunder will return in Thor: Love and Thunder. The movie will see Hemsworth team up with Taika Waiti once again, after their successful outing in Thor: Ragnarok.
