Chrissy Teigen has walked out of Netflix’s Never Have I Ever season 2. A spokesperson from the show confirmed that she would be recast in it.
Despite her role being limited to just one episode, the American TV actor and model decided to step down from the role.
Chrissy chose to drop out of the planned voiceover in one episode helmed by Mindy Kaling. The series would see actors do voice overs for pivotal characters performed by guest actors. After Teigan's exit, her role is expected to be recast, a spokesperson from the show revealed.
News of Chrissy leaving the show came soon after reports stated that she was involved in the online bullying of American model Courtney Stodden. The latter had recently revealed that Chrissy was involved in her online bullying. After Courtney's marriage with actor Doug Hutchison when he was 60 years old, Chrissy had sent insulting messages to Courtney, who was just 16 years old then. The bullying messages included, “I can’t wait for you to die.”
In response, Chrissy had posted a long apology thread on her Twitter account on May 13 after Courtney had accused her of bullying. Ever since, there have been no updates in the cyberbullying scandal.
American reality TV star Farrah Abraham has reacted to the scandal by calling Chrissy an ‘unfit person to live in the society,’ as reported by Fox News. This development comes after it was disclosed that Chrissy had used derogatory terms for Farrah as well on Twitter. Chrissy Teigen is yet to make a stand on this allegation.
Chrissy Teigen has been a judge on Bring the Funny, a comedy competition series. She last gave the voiceover to Hailey Posey in the animated film The Mitchells vs. the Machines which released in April 2021.
