Christopher, which has Mammootty essaying the role of a vigilante cop, will begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video soon
Malayalam megastar Mammootty’s latest release Christopher, which is helmed by B Unnikrishnan and scripted by Udaykrishna, is all set to get its OTT release. The movie’s rights were bagged by Amazon Prime Video, before its theatrical release in February, and now the streaming platform has announced its release date.

The film has a host of stars in pivotal roles including Dileesh Pothan, Amala Paul, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sneha, Vinay Rai, Deepak Parambol and Tamil actor Sarathkumar, who plays a cameo as a police officer.
What is Christopher about?
Christopher revolves around the various episodes in the life of its titular character, essayed by Mammootty. The superstar plays a police officer who doesn’t mind flouting the rules to ensure that justice is delivered when it matters. After he apprehends a criminal mastermind during one of his investigations, the latter decides to make it seek his revenge, putting the lives of those near and dear to Christopher in danger.
Sneha essays the role of a bureaucrat, who is also Christopher’s wife in the movie, while Amala Paul plays a cop who is tasked with investigating Christopher after he breaks a law to kill two rapists in an encounter. Vinay Rai, who made his Malayalam debut with the thriller, plays the antagonist in the film, which also has Dileesh Pothan in the role of a police officer.
Shine Tom Chacko and Jinu Joseph are also part of the film, which marked Mammootty’s second release in 2023 after Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, which is streaming on Netflix.
Incidentally, Mammootty is also playing a cop in his upcoming movie Kannur Squad, which is currently being shot in Kerala.
When and where to watch Christopher on OTT?
Christopher is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on March 9. The movie will be streaming in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
