This Valentine’s week, Malayalam cinema offers a treat for its audience. As many as three romcoms are releasing in theatres including Malavika Mohanan and Mathew Thomas’ Christy, while OTT platforms too have two diverse films – Unni Mukundan’s Malikappuram and Biju Menon’s Naalaam Mura – that would suit the family audience as well as those who prefer crime thrillers.

While Romancham, which released two weeks ago, is still going strong in theatres, Basil Joseph will be looking to continue his successful run with another comedy – Enkilum Chandrike. Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam’s Anagha Narayanan and Lal will also be seen in a feel-good movie Dear Vaapi this weekend.

Here’s a list of movies that you can pick from to watch this weekend – both on OTTs and theatres.

Release platform: Theatre

Based on true incidents that happened in debutant director Alvin Henry’s life, the movie, scripted by GR Indugopan and Benyamin, revolves around a Poovar-based teenager named Roy’s infatuation for Christy, who is older than him. Mathew Thomas and Malavika Mohanan play Roy and Christy, respectively, in this romantic drama.
