Chup 'free screening': Tickets for Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan starrer sold within 10 minutes!

The producers of the eagerly anticipated romantic psycho-thriller R. Balki's Chup are thrilled with the overwhelming response to the film, as the tickets sold out in just 10 minutes after being made available for purchase on Book My Show. This was a first-of-its-kind announcement of a special "free of cost" viewing of the film for the audience across different cities in the country on September 20.

The producers of Chup, starring Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, Pooja Bhatt, and Shreya Dhanwanthary, had organised a special public "free of cost" screening of their picture for the audience three days before its release and before the film critics, in ten locations throughout the nation. On September 20, movie fans across Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and other cities responded wildly to the brilliant idea of scheduling a special free viewing of a film. Interestingly, the audience will watch a movie before anyone else for the first time.

R. Balki previously discussed the free screening in an interview, stating that the audience will see it first, followed by the critics and the business, as opposed to the usual practise of showing it to everyone else before the audience. He added that why can't the audience when they have so many people coming for our first screening.

R Balki is the film's director, and Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Anil Naidu, Dr. Jayantilal Gada (PEN Studios), and Gauri Shinde are its producers. Balki is also the writer of the original story, and he collaborated on the screenplay and language with writer-turned-critic Raja Sen and Rishi Virmani.

The movie is produced by Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios), and Pen Marudhar handles distribution throughout all of India. Vishal Sinha is the director of photography, and SD Burman, Amit Trivedi, Sneha Khanwalkar, and Aman Pant are the composers of the music. Sahir Ludhianvi, Kaifi Azmi, and Swanand Kirkire wrote the songs. The movie's co-producers are Anirudh Sharma and Pranab Kapadia.

Chup: Revenge of the Artist is hitting the big screens on September 23, 2022.
