CID is one of the most iconic shows of Indian television. The show, starring Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, and Aditya Srivastava, recently made a comeback to TV after six years. The first season of the show lasted for nearly 20 years on the small screen. Six years after its closure, CID returned with its second season two on Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV. The latest good news is that CID 2 has found space for itself on another OTT giant.
When and where to watch CID 2 on OTT
An official announcement about CID 2's OTT premiere was made by Netflix. The streaming platform shared a video that highlighted glimpses of the action-packed new season. The initial 18 episodes are already streaming on the OTT platform. On the other hand, the new episodes of CID 2 will drop every weekend at 10 pm.
Sharing this good news on IG, the streamer wrote: "Iska matlab samjhe Daya? CID ab Netflix par bhi aa chuka hai Aur har Shanivaar aur Ravivaar, dekhiye naye episodes, raat 10 baje se! (sic)." Despite its premiere on Netflix, CID 2 continues to stream on SonyLIV and OTTplay Premium.
For those unaware, Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, and Aditya Srivastava have reprised their roles of ACP Pradyuman, Inspector Daya and Inspector Abhijeet in the new season.
Dayanand Shetty on shooting for CID 2
Before CID 2 went on-air, Dayanand Shetty shared his experience of shooting the new season. In an interview with Times of India, the actor said, "We have started shooting for CID, and it’s been hectic but exciting at the same time as the whole team has come back together after a gap of six years. We were not expecting that there would be a season 2, but audiences have been watching old episodes and asking for the show to come back."
