CID 2: Parth Samthaan's ACP Ayushmann to exit show following Shivaji Satam's return? Here's all you need to know

Fans expressed their disappointment when Shivaji Satam, aka ACP Pradyuman, exited the iconic show, CID 2. His character has been a delightful watch for the audience for 2 decades now. After his exit, Parth Samthaan joined as the new ACP, who was called Ayushmann. However, reports suggest that OG ACP is back as Shivaji Satam was seen returning to the sets of CID 2 in the behind-the-scenes video shared by Parth. So, is it the end for Parth's ACP Ayushmann? Parth Samthaan to exit from CID 2?

As per Filmibeat, CID 2 has been performing slowly despite the star-studded cast and impressive storyline, hence the TRP numbers started falling from February. The makers made a few changes, along with Shivaji Satam's ACP Pradyuman's exit from the show, to bring a grand twist. They welcomed Parth Samthaan as the ACP Ayushmann. But nothing really worked. 

The source added, "Parth Samthaan might make an exit from CID season 2 as the makers are re-working on their plans to revive the show and bring back the lost viewership. ACP Ayushman might make an exit when ACP Pradyuman makes a full-fledged return to CID."

However, the source also mentioned that the channel needs to understand that the availability of CID 2 online (Netflix) and the competition from IPL 2025 have severely affected the viewership of the show. "Just Shivaji Satam's exit was a promotional gimmick; the rumours of Parth leaving might also be false. We have to wait for some time to know the clear picture," it added. 

Parth Samthaan calls Shivaji Satam 'gem of a person'

A few days ago, Parth Samthaan took to his Instagram Stiry and shared a behind-the-scenes video featuring himself and Shivaji Satam from the sets of CID 2. They were seen shaking their hands in the clip. 

Sharing the video, Parth wrote, “Shooting with ACP Pradyuman Aka Shivaji Satam was a delight and full of entertainment. Gem of a guy.”

Meanwhile, speaking to Hindustan Times, Parth revealed that he initially rejected the ACP role and added, "I was also hesitant due to the show’s long-standing cast and the fact that they’d have to address me as ‘sir’ on screen. It felt a bit unusual and awkward."
