CID 2: Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava and Daya Shetty set to solve crime in Gen-Z mode | Watch fun promo

The makers of the iconic and one of India's longest-running television shows, CID, have made all the fans happy with the announcement of season 2 of the show. The iconic trio Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty will be back with their much-loved characters ACP Pradyuman, and Inspectors Abhijeet and Daya. The show will be available from December 21 on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 p.m. on Sony TV, SonyLIV as well as OTTplay Premium. Ahead of the release, the makers shared a new promo of CID 2.

CID 2 new promo

On December 7, Sony Entertainment Television shared a fun promo of CID 2, starring Shivaji Satam and Aditya Srivastava. The cast is all set to solve crime in a Gen-Z mode. The video captures them using some popular Gen-Z words and it is too good to miss.

While ACP Pradyuman says, "Jab suspects Ghost (cannot be seen/run away/remove) karte hai, tab toh ACP ko zaroor kehna padhta hai kuch na kuch toh gadbad hai," Inspector Abhijeet assures, "Sir maine saare evidence check kiye hai, No Cap (for real/no lie)." On the other hand, ACP further says, "Daya kabhi kabhi calmness bhi Vibe Check (to test the mood of a person) fail karti hai."

Sharing the video, they captioned it, "CID Gen-Z Mode: Activated! 🚨 ACP aur team ka vibe check kabhi fail nahi hota! #CID waapis aa raha hai 21st December se, Sat-Sun raat 10 baje, sirf #SonyEntertainmentTelevision par."

CID 2 features face-off between Abhijeet and Daya

In one of the promos shared by the makers of CID 2, we can see Abhijeet pointing the gun towards Daya while ACP Pradyuman tries to stop him. However, Abhijeet shoots Daya and the latter falls off the waterfall after the bullet hits him. What made these two men, who were once known for their teamwork, become enemies of one another? For this, we need to wait for the show to release.

Meanwhile, for the uninitiated, CID started streaming on Sony TV in the year 1998. The show continued to entertain the audience till the year 2018. It became a cult classic and is still one of the most loved shows.

CID 2 will be available for streaming from December 21 every Saturday and Sunday at 10 p.m. on Sony TV, and SonyLIV. You can also watch it with your OTTplay Premium.
