CID 2 to end its journey on THIS date in December; Shivaji Satam updates on CID 3

Fans' favourite CID returned with its second season after a 6 long eyear gap in December 2024. The iconic trio Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Daya Shetty reprised their much-loved roles as ACP Pradyuman and Inspectors Abhijeet and Daya. For some days, the makers changed the plot and introduced a new ACP, played by Parth Samthaan, but after a few days, his character also bid goodbye with the OG ACP's return. Now, it's been known that CID 2 will go off-air, and Shivaji Satam himself confirmed this in an interview. 

CID 2 to go off-air

During an interview with Telly Express (Gossips TV), Shivaji Satam, who plays the iconic ACP Pradyuman, confirmed that the makers of CID 2 are ending the show. He also said that despite the low TRPs, the rhythm of the new season remains "unchanged" among the show's loyal fans. According to reports, CID 2 is scheduled to conclude on December 14, 2025. 

Addressing the show's shift from TV screens to Netflix, Shivaji said, "The landscape has transformed, and now even a rating of 2 is considered a success."

As per the portal, Shivaji expressed his willingness to return as ACP Pradyuman in CID 3. However, the final decision will be taken by the makers.
