Parth Samthaan, who has confirmed his exit from CID, opened up about the challenges of replacing an iconic character like Shivaji Satam. He also remembered being trolled for the first time in his life thanks to the move, while speaking of how he dealt with the trolls, all during his recent interview. The Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu actor opened up about losing out on projects, while also finding success by taking a big risk previously. Here's everything he said...
"It is next to impossible to replace the main character," he said, while stating that it is the first time in his life where he was trolled. Parth clarified to Bollywood Bubble that not just Shivaji Satam (ACP Pradhyuman) but it is next to impossible to replace even Dayanand Shetty (Daya) and Aditya Srivastava (Abhijeet).
The actor recalled even his friends laughing at the thought, apart from people trolling him for turning the new ACP (Ayushmann). "Ab tu Daya ko bolega darwaaza todne?," Parth's friends asked him. "Unfortunately, it is human nature to get affected by negativity. If I get 20 good comments and the 21st is bad, then that puts me into the thought of - why would somebody write something like this about me?," the actor confessed, hinting at how he was affected when trolled for replacing Shivaji Satam. Parth simply said that he ignores the comments and moves forward now.
Comparing his character to Kasautii Zindagii Kay and how he became the new face of Anurag, Parth recalled how he found a path-breaking role in the show. He thanked Ekta Kapoor for trusting him and understood that if she saw something in him, then he would be worth it.
Recalling the time when he was replaced in a movie, Parth said that the director sent him a long message apologizing for replacing him by stating that him dying in the scene would bring in lots of sympathy and shift the focus from the hero to him. The actor called it a very bizarre message.
