ACP Pradyuman, a beloved character on the hit TV show CID, is on the verge of death, marking a startling turn in events. This character, played by the legendary Shivaji Satam, embodied the ideals of leadership in investigative agencies. Close sources have revealed to India Today that the character would meet his demise in upcoming episodes due to an accident involving a bomb.
To bring down the CID squad, Barbosa (Tigmanshu Dhulia) would allegedly place a bomb in future episodes, according to a reliable source who spoke with the portal. Although the rest of the group would escape unharmed, ACP Pradyuman would perish. You may recall that Dhulia made a triumphant return to CID after an absence of over six years, this time portraying the notoriously vicious Eye Gang boss Barbosa.
The episode, which the crew just finished filming, will premiere in the coming days. The creators want this to be a huge surprise for fans; thus far, not many specifics have been revealed, the source stated.
It's important to remember that during the previous season of the show, many characters appeared to have passed away but later returned to life. The sources say ACP won't return, but they may change their minds based on the feedback they get after this twist.
CID's success since its 1998 debut was something that Shivaji Satam mentioned earlier in an interview with the portal. Many individuals, particularly children, fantasise about having heroes in their lives, he said. Additionally, people have learnt many valuable life lessons from the examples set by police officers. Their stories are truly captivating when shown in such a grand and monumental setting. Plus, these people aren't superhuman; they're merely competent in their roles.
Sony TV reintroduced CID earlier this year. An animated remake of the series, CID Squad – Naye Yug Ka Naya CID, is also available on Netflix. The series is available to stream on Sony LIV (OTTplay Premium).
