Cinderella teaser: Camila Cabello makes her acting debut with the Amazon original movie

Amazon Prime Video unveiled the teaser of Cinderella, which marks the acting debut of singer-songwriter Camila Cabello. The feature film also stars Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine and Pierce Brosnan.

The teaser of the musical reveals the first glimpse of Camila as Cinderella, who wants to pursue her dream of costume designing. Netflix’s Pose star Billy Porter can be seen helping her out akin to the fairy godmother. Amazon’s Cinderella has taken a different approach with the part of its fairy godmother that is being played by Porter, who was also seen in a recent comedy film Like a Boss with Tiffany Haddish, Rose Byrne and Salma Hayek on the OTT giant.

Camila has appeared in multiple reality shows and talk shows including the British television series Dancing on Ice, Saturday Night Live and Lady Gaga’s One World: Together at Home. British actor Galitzine, who is seen acing the Victorian era look in Cinderella, had previously acted in the 2014 musical-drama The Beat Beneath My Feet, High Strung and Netflix’s sports-drama Handsome Devil.

The latest adaptation of the fairytale is said to be inspired by opera, ballet, theatre as well as former films and TV series. Written and directed by the Pitch Perfect script writer Kay Cannon, Cinderella will release on Amazon Prime Video on September 3.
