Bigg Boss Kannada OTT and Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 winner Roopesh Shetty’s return to direction, after the superhit Girgit, was Circus, a film he’d finished before being a part of the popular reality show. Although Roopesh has a sizeable fan following in the Kudla belt, he decided to release Circus after the Bigg Boss Kannada stint, which made him even more popular and worked wonders for the film. Like Girgit, Circus too was a runaway hit at the box office, after it released in theatres along the coastal belt.

Roopesh Shetty's Circus OTT release

Taking to social media after the film’s release, Roopesh had said that Circus had taken the biggest opening for a Tulu film and was immensely thankful to audiences for the support. The film, which also stars Rachana Rai, Aravind Bolar, Yash Shetty and Naveen Padil, is finally coming to OTT, more than a year after its theatrical release. Circus has been picked up by Talkies OTT and will be available to stream starting August 15.

Circus has Roopesh as Rahul, an educated young man who desires to turn entrepreneur. To raise funds for the same, he has to mortgage a family property, but is unable to do so. How he manages to get out of this situation is what the film is about.
