Cirkus remained low on Saturday, which has now guaranteed the film's failure. The movie's Friday collection was less than anticipated at about 6.50 crores, and later on Saturday there was just no increase with about 7 crores coming in. This is just too poor for a movie of this calibre, and the result is already known. The movie has so far made 13.50 crores, and it would be challenging to reach 50 crores overall.

The fact that some of the biggest movies of 2022 have just failed to attract crowds is really depressing. There are excellent credentials involved, and every effort has been made to advertise and promote them as well. The second day through the evening shows, the national multiplex chains showed a nominal growth of 10% while the mass areas had already begun to show a decline in collections. The trend suggests that the audience has rejected the movie, so it won't be shocking if it doesn't even benefit from the Sunday after Christmas vacation.

Along with Ranveer, Varun Sharma plays two characters in the comic entertainer, and Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez play the two leading females. Shakespeare's comedy The Comedy of Errors served as the inspiration for Gulzar's masterpiece Angoor, which stars Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma in dual roles.

After the social comedy Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which was released in May of this year, and the sports drama 83, which was released in December of last year, this is the third consecutive movie starring Ranveer Singh that has underperformed at the box office. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, a comedy directed by Karan Johar, is Singh's upcoming movie and is scheduled to open in theatres on April 28.

Prior to Cirkus, Rohit Shetty had already produced box office successes in the shape of his own cop world with movies like Singham, Singham Returns, Simmba, Sooryavanshi, and the complete Golmaal series of four movies. Bol Bachchan, Chennai Express, and Dilwale are some of his other popular movies.
