Rohit Shetty is currently busy with his latest release, Cirkus. The filmmaker has recently made a statement in which Rohit claimed that people love Bollywood. He also promised that the industry can bring in the change if some things improve.

Rohit was in a conversation with Beer Biceps when he shared about the changing times and how things haven’t exactly changed for the better. The filmmaker feels that Bollywood insiders are a strong clan but don’t realize their power because they don’t unite.

“People love us and we can bring change in so many things. If we worked like a syndicate, we can do a lot,” he said during the interview.

Rohit questioned how people aren’t thinking about expanding business and joining hands with the government. “We’re not able to reach 10 crore people in 150 crore people?,” he questioned.

The filmmaker also spoke about actors being insecure about two-hero films today – a topic that was brought up on Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan 7. He cited the example of 90s actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn. Recalling Ajay on Drishyam sets, Rohit claims that the actor didn’t have any tantrums but hinted that his managers did. “They don’t understand and keep the actors insecure,” he said.

Rohit’s latest offering Cirkus isn’t liked by the critics. The filmmaker says that while he is open to criticism, they should be valid. Thus, he believes in the audiences who have liked a Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rohit Shetty and Anurag Kashyap film.

Cirkus stars Ranveer Singh in a double role. The film sees Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez as the female leads. The movie has released in theatres.
