Cirkus: Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh's 'Comedy of Errors' gets a festive release date

Cirkus, the highly awaited film from blockbuster director Rohit Shetty, will be released worldwide on Christmas Day. On December 23, 2022, the big-budget movie starring Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jaqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, and a slew of other well-known actors, will be hitting the screens globally. The director took to social media to announce the much-anticipated film's release date.

Shetty shared a quirky poster of Cirkus featuring the all-star cast, namely Singh, Fernandez, Hegde, Varun and others. He captioned the post as "It's time to bring our audience back to the cinemas... ONCE AGAIN! Golmaal was released 16 years ago, and the love you all gave me made me who I am today! Cirkus is a Christmas gift for you and your family! Kyunki iss' Cirkus' mein bohot sara Golmaal hai!!! @tseriesfilms @rohitshettypictures

Shetty revealed that his forthcoming directorial, Cirkus, is a total family entertainer. There's no better time than the holidays to enjoy the film in theatres around the world.

The film is set in the 1960s and is based on The Comedy of Errors, which inspired the Gulzar cult comedy Angoor.

Meanwhile, a source had earlier told Bollywood Hungama that Cirkus features Deepika Padukone in a special appearance. The source revealed that with the addition of Padukone, Cirkus has grown even larger. Along with several talking scenes, she gets a special dance routine in the film. Her sequences are certain to make you laugh out loud.

Moreover, Ajay Devgn, who is a regular in Shetty's films, is also a part of Cirkus. Much to the excitement of the fans, like in Sooryavanshi and Simmba, this film will also feature the actor-filmmaker in a cameo appearance. 

Cirkus, created and directed by Rohit Shetty, stars Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, and T-Series. The film will be released on December 23, 2022.
