The trailer for Cirkus is finally out. Set in the 1960s, the Rohit Shetty-directed movie is a new version of Shakespeare's play The Comedy of Errors. For the first time, the film features Ranveer Singh and Varun Sharma in a double role. Cirkus is about these characters living separate lives and how they eventually cross paths and make comedic errors.

Ranveer's "Electric Man" persona, who is a circus performer, is depicted in the trailer. He has some kind of superpower that lets him control electricity and do strange things at the circus. As he delivers some snappy one-liners, Johny Lever appears to be in excellent form. The trailer is entertaining to watch, thanks in part to Sanjay Mishra's deadpan humour.

The trailer is almost four minutes long and gives a lengthy description of what one can expect from the comedy film. Cirkus boasts a talented ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Johny Lever, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari, Vrajesh Hirjee, Siddharth Jadhav, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Anil Charanjeett, Ashwini Kalsekar, Murli Sharma, Tiku Talsania, Radhika Bangia, Brijendra Kala, Saurabh Gokhale, Ashish Warang, Umakant Patil and Uday Tikekar.

Moreover, towards the end of the trailer, we see the real-life couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh shaking their legs to the song Current Laga. Not only that, but the trailer ends with a shot of the Golmaal boys as kids entering the orphanage where they were raised, which suggests that Cirkus is a prequel to Golmaal 5.

The upcoming movie will be the third time Rohit and Ranveer have been in a movie together, after Simmba (2018) and the actor's long cameo in Sooryavanshi (2021). Moreover, this is the first time he will be sharing screen space with Pooja and Jacqueline, who play the female lead in Cirkus.

The much-awaited film is slated to release on December 23, 2022.
