The actor will be sharing screen space with Samantha and Varun Dhawan in the series

We had reported earlier that veteran actor Thalaivasal Vijay was the latest to join Raj & DK's spy series Citadel. The team is currently shooting in Belgrade, the capital city of Serbia. In the meantime, Thalaivasal Vijay took some time out to visit one of the landmarks in the city, Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic's cafe and restaurant.
The actor shared a series of pictures from Novak Cafe & Restaurant with OTTplay and told us, "I had goosebumps when I visited the cafe. I am planning to come here again on Sunday to watch the French Open finals. If Novak Djokovic wins the match, he becomes the greatest of all-time tennis players, with 23 grand slams in his kitty." Novak Djokovic will battle for the 23rd title against Casper Ruud in the French Open final. Thalaivasal Vijay is an avid sports buff and his children are athletes as well.
As for the series, the actor plays a space scientist in it. He will be sharing screen space with Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The actor had earlier told us, "The process of the audition had been going on for four-five months and I recently signed on the dotted line."
It was only yesterday that Samantha, too, had shared a few pictures from Serbia on her social media handle. The pictures instantly took the internet by storm.
Thalaivasal Vijay, in the meantime, is awaiting the release of his next Hindi project, Lovers, directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurtha. The film revolves around modern-day relationships. The star cast comprises Thalaivasal Vijay, Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy. The film was predominantly shot in Ooty.
He has also signed his next in Malayalam, Garudan, in which he will team up with Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon. The film is touted to be a legal thriller.
