Citadel India: Sikandar Kher joins Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in thrilling journey

Citadel starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden is a highly anticipated American action-adventure drama series. Meanwhile, the official Hindi remake of the show is currently in the works. The Indian leg of the Russo Brothers-created show is directed by Raj & DK and stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Prabhu, while Sikandar Kher has now joined the star cast.

According to the media reports, after the main lead, the makers of Citadel India are now roping and finalising the other pivotal cast members with the latest addition of Sikandar in the much awaited version of the spy thriller drama show.

A source closer to the developments recently shared in a statement that Sikandar is the latest addition to the highly awaited Hindi remake of Citadel, who also attended the India premiere of the Priyanka and Richard starrer happened in Mumbai last week. "Citadel is anticipated to be one of the biggest shows of the season. This will be the first time that Sikandar will be working with Raj and DK," added the source.

Along with the US, the American version of Citadel has been reportedly shot in India, Italy and Mexico as well.

In an earlier interview with Variety, The Family Man fame directors Raj and DK unveiled that a lot of countries are set to have their own version of Citadel, which going forward will be seen as crossovers and cross-references because the action thriller drama is about multiple super agents across the world.

Created by David Weil, the soon-to-be-released spy thriller series stars Priyanka and Richard as Citadel agents named Nadia Sinh and Mason Kane along with Stanley Tucci, Lesley Manville, Osy Ikhile, Ashleigh Cummings, Roland Møller and Caoilinn Springall. 

Citadel is set to premiere on March 28 on Amazon Prime Video, while Citadel India is expected to release soon on the OTT giant.
