Richard Madden has a pretty good fan following in India, thanks to his roles in series like Game of Thrones, Lady Chatterley's Lover, and Bodyguard, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero film, Eternals.

The actor is in India to promote his upcoming action-drama series, Citadel, and accompanying him is Desi Girl, Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

The two engaged in some pretty interesting banter, much to the delight of those present at the press conference at Mumbai’s St. Regis Hotel on Monday evening.

As part of the press meet, Richard was asked that since he is already popular in India, if he’s offered a role in Indian cinema, would he accept it, and what kind of role would he take?

Richard instantly replied, "Absolutely. India makes more films than any other country in the world and has an incredible amount of talent. So, I would be honoured to work in an Indian film."

Speaking about the kind of Indian film that he would want to star in, Richard added, "I would like to do something comedic. I think we do so many serious things that it would be good to do something a bit more calming, since I've not really done that. Maybe that will happen in the future."

Created by the Russo Brothers, Citadel revolves around two elite agents, Mason Kane (Richard) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka), of the global spy agency Citadel.

It is slated to premiere on April 28 on Amazon Prime Video. Two episodes will air on April 28, followed by one new episode every Friday.
