The long-delayed sports drama, Clap, featuring Aadhi Pinisetty, Aakansha Singh in the lead, a bilingual simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil, is getting ready for a release at last. The film written and directed by Prithivi Adithya has music by Ilaiyaraaja. Krisha Kurup, Brahmaji, Nassar, Prakash Raj, Mime Gopi, Munishkanth and others play supporting roles in the drama. Clap is all set to release directly on SonyLIV on March 11.
In the recently released trailer for Clap, Aadhi is cast as a specially-abled coach to a young budding athlete Bagyalakshmi (Krisha Kurup) in the film. He not only has to battle his inner demons and insecurities but also has to fight the system to help his student get her due as an athelete. Aakanksha Singh plays the role of a hockey player, who later marries Aadhi. The story revolves around the various challenges in the life of the protagonist - his career, personal life and stint as a coach.
Praveen Kumar has cranked the camera for the film that's edited by Ragul. Sakthi Saravanan is the stunt director of the sports drama produced by Ramanjaneyulu Javvaji and M Raja Shekar Reddy under Sarvanth Ram Creations and Shri Shirdi Sai Movies. Prithivi Adithya and Vanamaali have penned the dialogues for the Telugu version with Ramajogayya Sastry and Anantha Sriram penning the lyrics. Vairabalan and S Hari Babu are the art directors of the same.
IB Karthikeyan is the presenter for Clap. The Tamil version of Clap will mark Aakanksha's debut in Tamil cinema. In Telugu, Aadhi Pinisetty's last release was Good Luck Sakhi where he was paired opposite Keerthy Suresh. He also plays the antagonist in The Warriorr, the N Lingusamy bilingual headlined by Ram Pothineni and Krithi Shetty.
