SonyLIV released the official trailer for Aadhi's sports drama Clap today, where he plays a specially-abled coach to a young budding athlete Bagyalakshmi (Krisha Kurup).
The trailer begins with his own personal struggles and then charts his determination to give his pupil the due she deserves. Aadhi's character is met with only derision and rejection when he approaches seemingly renowned coaches to take Bagyalakshmi under their wing. Then he takes it upon himself to make this task come true.
The film, written and directed by Prithivi Adithya, also stars Aakanksha Singh, Nassar, Prakash Raj, Mime Gopi, and Munishkanth in supporting roles.
Ilaiyaraaja has composed music, which has cinematography by Praveen Kumar and editing by Ragul. Sakthi Saravanan and Dinesh have choreographed the action and dance sequences for the film, which has been bankrolled by IB Karthikeyan under the banner of Big Print Pictures.
It was previously reported that Clap is Aadhi's first sports drama, and will have him in two different looks. Aadhi was last seen in Kollywood in U Turn (streaming on Amazon Prime Video). Meanwhile, Clap marks the Kollywood debut for Aakanksha.
Clap will begin streaming on SonyLIV in Tamil and Telugu from March 11.
