After the stupendous success of the sci-fi crime thriller show Kudi Yedamaithe, Telugu-only OTT platform aha is gearing up to release its next original, Tharagathi Gadhi Daati, on August 20. The show, directed by Mallik Ram of Pelli Gola fame, is the official remake of TVF's hit Hindi show FLAMES. Starring Harshith Reddy, Payal Radhakrishna, Nikhil Devadula and Bindu Chandramouli in key roles, the show is set amidst a Rajahmundry backdrop revolving around the lives of teenagers Krishna and Jasmine. Tharagathi Gadhi Daati unfolds around a local tuition centre run by Krishna's parents, where Jasmine is a new entrant.

aha released the teaser of the show on Tuesday. Titled Class 1 Of Tharagathi Gadhi Daati, the background score of the entire teaser is set to a stanza from the popular song Oh Cheliya Naa Priyasakhiya, rendered by up-and-coming singer Krishna Tejaswi. Harshith Reddy, the TikTok star who surprised one and all with his performance in aha's rural comedy Mail, showcases terrific screen presence as Krishna in the teaser. He is swamped by the irresistible charm of Jasmine, a college-going girl (played by Payal Radhakrishna) who joins the same tuition centre like him. Both exchange glances and fall for each other soon, experiencing the bliss and sweet little-nothings of first love.

The teaser takes audiences through the life of Krishna whose world transforms after the entry of Jasmine. He blushes while brushing in the morning, uses a room freshener in his house before he invites Jasmine, sends her text messages and stares at her in the middle of a class. They later spend time with each other, chatting by the beach. The superb cinematography in Tharagathi Gadhi Daati, capturing the beachside visuals, the middle-class household of Krishna and his tuition centre, wins your attention instantly. This is TVF's second show in Telugu after Commitmental on aha, the remake of Permanent Roommates. All eyes are on August 20 now.
