Srinidhi Shetty, who is all set to make her Tamil debut with director Ajay Gnanamuthu's spy thriller Cobra, is quite excited about her maiden venture in Tamil. The actress, who shot to fame with the K.G.F franchise, was in Coimbatore recently as part of the Cobra promotional tour, which covers Trichy, Madurai, Coimbatore, Chennai, Kochi, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
The Miss Diva Supranational 2016 says that it was a dream come true working with Chiyaan Vikram. "The first Tamil movie I ever watched was Vikram sir's Anniyan. And when I was watching the film, I was thinking that I should have been there on screen, working with Vikram sir. Cut to 10-12 years later, I get this amazing opportunity to share screen space with him. It was a dream come true to be working with a legend like Vikram sir."
Talking about her co-star, Vikram, Srinithi says, "Sitting next to him like this itself is something I never dreamt of in my whole life. As a newcomer, I found him to be a kind person and I learnt a lot from him. After meeting him, I also realised that he is still a child at heart and on the sets, with pranks et al.
The K.G.F actress says that she is eagerly awaiting the release of the film, just like the audience. "Though working on the film had its own set of challenges, I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it. I have got a lot of support, love and encouragement from Tamil Nadu. Cobra is my first Tamil film and just like the audience, I am eagerly awaiting the release of the film, too."
Cobra, which is billed as a psychological science fiction thriller, is gearing up to hit screens on August 31. The film has been bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio and distributed in Tamil Nadu by Red Giant Movies. This will be Vikram's first theatrical release after a gap of three years.
