Cobra song Adheeraa: Spirited, fast paced track teases the many unrecognisable avatars of Vikram

As promised, the makers of Chiyaan Vikram’s Cobra have unveiled the highly anticipated second single from the upcoming film, titled Adheeraa. The lyric video of the song shows Vikram at his intense best, treating fans to the range of looks he is expected to don in the film.

The video opens with an animated snippet where a man is seen hanging from a crane, and investigating police officers stumble upon a file from a criminology department, titled Cobra. The video also gives viewers glimpses of the many avatars Vikram is expected to adopt in the film, which even include those of different ages and ethnicities it seems. Set against the fast paced beats and catchy rap sequences, BTS shots reveal Vikram’s transformation processes for his different characters. A R Rahman, who composed the film’s soundtrack also makes an appearance in the video, along with the rest of the cast and crew.

Check out the song’s lyric video below:

Adheeraa is sung by Vagu Mazan, with its lyrics penned by Pa Vijay. The song’s rap portions are written and crooned by Thoughts For Now. It is the second track from the film. The first song from the film, Thumbi Thullal, was released last year.

In addition to Vikram, the upcoming film also stars Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead, along with Irfan Pathan, Roshan Mathew, Babu Antony, Lal, Mrinalini Ravi and Kanika in lead roles. The film marks the onscreen debut of cricketer Pathan. Cobra also marks C U Soon actor Mathew’s maiden Tamil film.

The upcoming action thriller film is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu and produced by Lalith Kumar under the banner of 7 screen studio. The film has cinematography by Harish Kannan and is edited by Bhuvan Srinivasan.

Cobra is slated to be released in theatres on May 26 this year.
