Ramesh Pisharody will play the role of Dubai returnee in No Way Out, directed by Nithin Devidas
Mollywood actor and director Ramesh Pisharody will play a lead role in a movie for the first time. The flick No Way Out is helmed and scripted by debutant Nithin Devidas. The shooting is currently underway. Raveena Nair of June fame will be paired alongside Ramesh.
“The film will be an edge-of-the-seat survival thriller, which demands a theatre experience for complete enjoyment,” reveals Nithin to TOI, as he goes on to talk about the lead characters. “Ramesh Pisharody’s character is a Dubai returnee who hails from Kottayam. His name is David Cherian, and Raveena Nair plays his wife Suju’s role. The film is based on an incident that happens in their lives. It is also a story with universal appeal,” Nithin says.
The director also said that both the actors will be seen in different avatars that no one has seen before. “Be it his looks in the popular show Badai Bungalow or the other projects he has been part of, Ramesh ettan’s get-up in No Way Out is strikingly different from all of them. As Suju is a practical, independent woman of today, Raveena’s appearance is also very different from how she was in films like June,” says the director. Nithin has done ads and short films before getting his hands into directing feature films.
Director further added that he wanted to choose someone who is quite popular among the audience to essay the role of David Cherian, and that's why he zeroed in on Pisharody. He also believes that he would be the best to play this role in the story.
