It's not often that comedians themselves become subjects of comedy. Actor, TV presenter and cricket commentator Bosskey has now become the butt of jokes after his controversial statement at an event went viral on social media. In a video that is doing the rounds on the internet, Bosskey is seen stating that the Brahmin community came from the 'Brahman' (Lord Bramma) itself and that there wasn't much difference between the two.

He added that Brahmins had the best brains in the world and that the community was the supreme most in the entire world. He added that there was absolutely no doubt about the same. Towards the fag end of the video, he states that the two sects in the Brahmin community- Iyers and Iyengars- need to unite and be called a 'community', not 'kammi (less)' unity.

Filmmaker Naveen, who had helmed films like Moodar Koodam, shared the video on his social media handle, and stated that Bosskey's comedy was the perfect example to prove that one cannot be termed intelligent just by speaking in English and become a civilised thinker by wearing western outfits. What he is talking about is not comedy. He, himself, is the comedy."

Many social media users have taken offence to the statement and have roasted the actor for the 'supremacist' comment. Sample some of the tweets.

Bosskey has acted in minor roles in a number of films, some of which include Youth, Dhool, Sivakasi, Ethiri, Poi Solla Porom, Theeya Velai Seyyanum Kumaru, Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal, Dharmaprabhu, Jiivi to name a few. The actor will also be seen in an English film titled The Newsmaker, in which he teams up with Mathew Verghese. The film is directed by debutant Nikesh Bella Narayanan. Bosskey is also a radio jockey, cricket presenter, television anchor and stand-up comedian.
