Get ready to 'fracture' your 'funny bones' as the Comedy Premium League host Prajakta Koli proclaims that the show will not only "tickle your funny bone but also fracture it". The new comedy series by Netflix will have 16 Indian stand-up comedians who have created a place for themselves through performances nationwide and their specials on various streaming platforms. Divided into four teams, they will be competing against each other to become comedy champions.

The series which will be available to stream on Netflix from August 20 will have the comedians perform different formats like improv, skit, debates, punchlines, presentation comedy and roast. The four teams are Lovable Langoors consisting of Amit Tandon, Samay Raina, Rytasha Rathore and Aadar Malik; Naazuk Nevle with Mallika Dua, Rahul Subramanian, Urooj Ashfaq and Rahul Dua; Gharelu Gilaharis comprising Kenny Sebastian, Prashasti Singh, Kaneez Surka and Aakash Gupta; and IDGAF Iguanas featuring Sumukhi Suresh, Tanmay Bhat, Rohan Joshi and Sumaira Shaikh.

The official statement of the streaming giant reads: "Four teams, sixteen comedians, ek host aur bohot saare jokes! Prajakta Koli hosts India’s funniest entertainers pitted in a battle against one another where their only weapons are jokes, quips, and comebacks. In six episodes, they have to use everything they got to be the team that takes the cup home from this Comedy Premium League."

The trailer of the series, produced by OML Entertainment, released last month assures to create a laughter riot and leave you in splits. Towards the end of the trailer, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap makes an entry into the show and takes a dig at himself, and you will burst out laughing.

Recently, the streaming giant had also shared a few pictures from the sets on its Instagram account. This has left many people curious and excited. Fans of stand-comedy expressed by commenting on the post that they are looking forward to seeing so many comics on one stage and they are excited about the upcoming show.
