Since times immemorial, it has become a norm to reduce women as objects of desire across every sphere of society and it’s a war women need to wage every day. What if they decide to take on the men in power and show them their place? That’s exactly what Commitment, the Telugu film directed by Lakshmikanth Chenna, is all about. The film stars Tejaswi Madivada, Anveshi Jain, Ramya Pasupuleti and Simar Singh in key roles.
The trailer of Commitment was launched today. It showcases the lives of many women from diverse backgrounds and professions. From an aspirant actress to a happy-go-lucky college student to a rural woman to a sexologist and doctor, every woman has an ambition and desires to scale new heights in the story. Men come in the way of their dreams but they decide ‘enough is enough’ and give it back to them in a language they understand.
Commitment addresses the creepiness that women experience from men on a daily basis and highlights their awkwardness in dealing with such behaviour. The film looks at life both through the lens of a man and a woman and still shows that the latter is by no means less strong. Amit Tiwari, Srinath Maganti, Surya Srinivas, Tanishq Rajan and Raja Ravindra too play crucial roles in the film.
After a long delay, the film is destined to hit theatres on August 19. Produced by Baldev Singh, and Neelima Taduri under Footloose Entertainment and F3 Productions, the film has cinematography by Sajeesh Rajendran and Naresh Rana. Carthyk-Arjun, Santosh Harsha and Kalli Kalyan have penned the dialogues. Prawin Pudi is the editor and Naresh Kumaran has come up with the music score. Dwarakesh is the executive producer.
Purna Chary, Poonik, Meghraj Ravindra have penned the lyrics for the album. One of the film’s lead actors Anveshi Jain was seen in a special number in Ramarao on Duty.
