Communist Girlfriend Capitalist Boyfriend: Khammam-based Naveen Mullangi directs a feature film in English

Naveen Mullangi, a popular Youtuber, all of 25 years, is set to make his feature film debut with a project titled Communist Girlfriend Capitalist Boyfriend. The movie is entirely filmed in English and is written, directed and produced by Naveen himself. Besides being a digital content creator, the budding filmmaker, based out of Khammam, is an MBA-holder, currently working for a multi-national company in Hyderabad. 

Like the title suggests, the film mirrors the clash between a lovestruck couple over their contrasting ideologies. The shoot of Communist Girlfriend Capitalist Boyfriend has been wrapped already and the post-production is progressing at a brisk pace. The one-and-a-half-hour long feature will reportedly have a grand global release in the comimg months. Naveen, who's learnt the ropes of filmmaking and its technical nuances in the recent years, is all excited to show his film to the world.

In a statement, he even questions the necessity behind making films in only Indian languages and not English. "With English movies, we have an entire global market (whose potential runs into thousands of crores) waiting to be explored and there's a chance to make bigger money," Naveen adds. Interestingly, filmmaker Anjali Menon, through SonyLIV's Wonder Women, has made an Indian film where a majority of the characters communicate in English.

Water Entertainments is Naveen's YouTube channel, which has over 4 lakh followers and he has tapped into the potential of the digital space since the age of 17, making handsome money through his videos. His production house, now, also has the same name as his channel. That's not all, Naveen has also acted in Communist Girlfriend Capitalist Boyfriend while model Shiva Preethika Sukka is cast as the female lead. Iliyaz is the cinematographer for this ambitious project.
