Confirmed! Kartik Aaryan starrer Freddy to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar; here's all you need to know

Kartik Aaryan will be seen in and as Freddy, to be premiered on Disney+ Hotstar, alongside Alaya F, after previously playing a lover boy, a news anchor, a ghostbuster, and many other characters. In this thriller, directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Balaji Telefilms and Northern Lights Films, the actor will play a role that has never been seen before. Soon, the movie will be available only on Disney+ Hotstar.

Gaurav Banerjee, Head of Content for Disney+ Hotstar and HSM Entertainment Network, Disney Star, says it's time to welcome Kartik, the hottest new Bollywood star, to Disney+ Hotstar. After his last movie did well, Kartik will soon put out the thriller movie Freddy on Disney+ Hotstar.

Speaking about his involvement with Disney+ Hotstar, the nation's heartthrob Kartik said in a statement that he feels privileged to be a part of Freddy, as the story of the film is something that he hasn't explored before. It has given him the freedom to practice his art and discover new areas. The actor can't wait for the movie to come out on Disney+ Hotstar, and he hopes that people will like this new character.

While making the announcement, the social media pages of Disney+ Hotstar shared a black-and-white photo of Kartik and wrote, "Hottest Star on Hotstar Kartik Aaryan X Disney+ Hotstar. Coming soon. #ReadyForFreddy."

Kartik had told Bollywood Hungama in an earlier interview that Freddy would be an OTT release. He said that he made the film because it was slated for an OTT release. The movie is described as a dark romantic thriller about love and obsession. It's a nice topic, and he's very enthusiastic about it.

Kartik's first OTT release was Dhamaka, which came out on Netflix in 2021. Freddy will be his second OTT release. The actor's movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was a big hit when it came out earlier this year.
