Confirmed: Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden's espionage thriller Citadel gets renewed for a second season

Citadel, Prime Video's global smash hit, has been renewed for a second season, with Joe Russo remaining as director for all episodes and David Weil as executive producer and showrunner. India, Italy, Brazil, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States continue to be strong markets for the spy thriller starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas and also starring Lesley Manville and Stanley Tucci. It is the second-most watched original series on Prime Video outside of the United States and the fourth-most watched series overall. On Friday, May 26, all of the episodes from the first season of Citadel will be made available to Prime Video subscribers.

Jennifer Salke, CEO of Amazon and MGM Studios, stated that Citadel is a truly global phenomenon. They set out to expand Prime Video's global viewership by developing a new franchise based on original intellectual property. An unprecedented number of people from outside the United States have signed up for Prime Video because of this show. Joe and Anthony Russo's great vision, the incredible talents of Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Lesley Manville, and Stanley Tucci, and the painstaking labour of the creative teams, cast, and crew all contributed to the film's large worldwide debut audience. As a result of the tremendous positive response from our audience, they are pleased to announce that the first episode of Citadel will be made available worldwide, membership requirements notwithstanding, and that the show will be renewed for a second season.

David Weil, Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Scott Nemes are executive producers of Citadel, which is available to us via Amazon Studios and AGBO, the production company the Russo brothers founded.
